Safe From The Dark

Writer's note: Some of the characters that are in this story are completely my own. This still has characters from Frontier. It is told in first person, in the view of Laura Kyoshiro.

Chapter 1

Heaven Knows

It was too dark to tell the happenings in the Digital World. That looming gloom was created by SkullAngemon, a fearsome dark angel. He stepped out of the shadows, spreading his black, bonelike wings. He stuck out his black, bone staff. His red hair blown in the evil air. He raised his black gloved hand, summoning Devidramon, Phantommon and Shadowamon. They bowed down before him.
"Master, where our your other subjects? We are waiting for them to help us," Phantommon asked in his usual haunting voice.
"Do not worry, my faithful servants. They are just laying dormant They will come to serve me later, and the entire Digital World will join him!Mwahahahaha!!!" SkullAngemon cackled, with his servants in unison.

Meanwhile, back in reality, I waited for my sister, Jessica, to come back from her date with this dude named Takuya Kanabara. I can admit that the guy was cute, thogh my sister would freak if I would lay even a finger on him. I grabbed a bag of Cheese Doodles when I heard a knock on the door. I was expecting it to be Jessica and Takuya, but instead, I got my two cousins, Robbie Heston and Marie Kiramoto. I did not get a clue why they are here.
"Well, I did not expect you guys to be here. Sorry, hey! How's it going?" I asked in my usual, nervous tone.
"Oh, Jessica had called us an said that there is something strange going on outside She wants you to come and tell her what it is," Robbie explained.
Your sister might be dying or something. You gotta help her!"Marie exclaimed in her squealy voice. Robbie abruptly slapped her on the shoulder.
"Don't worry, Robbie. I know she's making this crap up," I explained. Anyway, my name is Laura Kyoshiro. I am 14 years old and I lived in Tokyo all of my life. I grabbed my coat, dropped the barely opened bag of chips and followed Robbie and Marie.
"So, where were they?" I curiously asked.
"They were getting malt shakes, I think," Robbie answered.
"Thank ya," I muttered. I suddenly spotted the malt shop. I admit that i come here every friday afternoon for a Chocolate Strawberry Fusion. Tasty! We entered, only to see a 12-year old, red haired girl with a light blue shirt and lilac jacket. She wore a lilac skirt to match her jacket. She was standing next to this strange looking dude. He wore a mustard yellow cap with a black symbol and goggles. He wore this red jacket, underneath a yellow shirt. He had brown, cargo shorts and red and orange shoes. He also wore gloves and had dusty brown hair.
"Oh, boy," I muttered.
"Oh, Laura. You've gotta help me. There is this strange portal in the middle of the store. I don't know what it is, but I'm so freaked, damn it!" Jessica yelled.
"Take it easy,Jes! I know what it is, for the last time," Takuya replied.
"I don't know if I can! What is it, then?"
" The Digital World," Takuya answered.
"THE WHAT?????"

SkullAngemon used his scepter to surround the rest of the Digital World in complete darkness. Five other kids watched it happen, upset. They were Kouji Minamoto, Zoe Orimoto, JP Shibayama, Tommy Himi and Kouichi Kimura.
"Look at that guy," Zoe cringed in sorrow and pain.
"He is coloring the Digital World like a black and white movie. This sucks!" JP yelled.
"We have to find Takuya! He could be anywhere!" Tommy whined, grabbing his orange hat.
"Takuya will come when he has the chance, and it better be soon," Koji added.
"Should we at least fight this guy's minions?" Kouichi asked.
"That's what Takuya would want us to do. Let's go!" Koji ordered as he raised up his D-Tector. The rest did the same.
"EXECUTE! SPIRIT EVOLUTION!
"LOBOMON!"
"BEETLEMON!"
"KAZEMON!"
"KUMAMON!"
"LOWEMON!" The kids had transformed into the Legendary Warriors. They flew off for battle.

"The Digital World. My friends are in trouble!" Takuya added.
"Your friends?" Robbie asked.
"Yes, and we must go to the Digital World. I feel something evil afoot and we must get rid of it. Are you with me?"Takuya asked.
"No! I might as well break up with you!" Jessica sobbed.
" I guess, but it better be good or I'll beat you up," Robbie replied. 
" Oh, yeah! I want to whip some evil butt!" I answered with a huge smile.
" I will, if you want to join me," Marie amswered. She is only 9 and needs severe guidance. The rest of us are 13 or 14.
" Okay, I guess that's everybody. Do you want to help, Jessica?" Takuya asked.
" I guess," Jessica muttered.
" All right. Let's haul booty!" Takuya ordered. We all leapt into the hole.
